Our Grand Space Saving Staircase with Quarter Turn is a simply brilliant. It is supplied with all the same great features as our Grand Space Saving Staircase, including wider and deeper treads, a more comfortable climbing angle, as well as a knee and hand rail. In addition, staircase is supplied with a quarter turn (left or right) at the bottom, meaning it takes up less floor space than the conventional model. Manufactured from strong spruce timber (not weaker pine), this staircase has a massive 300kg weight rating making the staircase excellent value for money and ensuring our range is the very best in the UK.

Unfortunately the Bar & Hook Kit doesn’t work as the staircase is too wide. It can only be used with our standard Deluxe model or the Deluxe Compact staircase.

Unfortunately not. The stringers (sides) of the staircase are rebated, to allow for the treads to slot in. Changing the pitch would mean the treads are not parallel to the floor.

This is all dependant on the height of the staircase. Take a look at our technical diagram in our ‘Fact Sheets’ tab. This will show you exactly how far the staircase protrudes from the wall.

We use spruce timber on all our Space Saving Staircases, because it is a lot more durable than Pine.

Of course, you can paint to match your existing décor.

Unfortunately not. This is due to the treads on the Quarter Turn Kit. Because the stringer (sides) are rebated, cutting the tread would mean they wouldn’t fit properly in the stringer.
