The size we state on the website is the external measurement of the hatch. For example the 1280 x 700mm model would fit in to a 1280 x 700mm opening. Please consult the instructions (which can be found in our ‘Fact Sheets’ tab above) for more information. We do recommend making the opening slightly bigger to make it easier to fit the unit in place.

Yes. All you need to do is simply cut the ladder down to the correct length. Please see our instructions for more information.

Besides the hatch unit and ladder, you will also receive an operating pole, a set of architrave and a pair of feet to fit on to the bottom of the ladder. The only thing you need to purchase separately are the screws to fit the loft ladder in to the loft.

Yes, this is possible. The hatch doorhas is painted white as standard and does have a melamine finish so you may need to sand down the surface of the door beforehand.

The ladder provides a climbing angle of 68°.
